As Sales Director, Clayton will be responsible for marketing Gearhouse resources in North America. Clayton will concentrate on the continued growth of the Gearhouse’s impressive levels of production origination offerings including mobile, fly-pack and rental facilities across a variety of production workflows. Clayton will also look to develop live production platforms covering sports, news and corporate event applications. New business development goals will include packaging of customer shows where all below the line elements will be bundled to achieve client operational and cost efficiencies.
Clayton’s experience in the television business covers sales, management, operations, programming and production. Most recently he was VP Sales at PSSI – Strategic Television, a major video transport and project management company where he marketed PSSI domestically and internationally. His customer base covered all primary broadcast, cable and digital networks along with independent producers and programming providers. He will bring that knowledge to Gearhouse leading to increased revenue and the key corresponding component of building customer relationships on a long term basis.
His background also includes working as an Account Executive for KTTV and Wold Communications and later becoming Executive in Charge of Production for the Prime Ticket Regional Sports Network, then General Manager at FOX Sports Northwest along with assisting the Sacramento Kings as in-house Manager for Maloof Sports & Entertainment where he worked to develop a northern California sports network for Comcast, now part of the NBC Sports Regional Network Group family.
Clayton is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University with a degree in Communication Arts and has participated as a member of the Sports Video Group (SVG), Special Olympics – Washington and the Seattle and the King County Sports and Events Council.
