Most recently Gearhouse Broadcast has worked on a raft of international events from the ATP Tennis Masters Series globally, the Australian Tennis Open, the 18th Commonwealth Games in Australia, the Winter Olympics in Italy, to the European Championships in Austria and Switzerland, the Football World Cup in Germany and the 15th Asian Olympic Games in Qatar.

Multi-location event specialist
Gearhouse Broadcast has delivered broadcast solutions to ATP Media at the Tennis Masters Series for ten years, since 1998 and has subsequently become expert in the field of managing broadcast solutions for multi-location events. The remit for the ATP World Tour is to deliver a consistent technical production facility at each of the ten venues which is carried out by forward planning, site surveys and venue manager liaison throughout the tournament; through the provision of state of the art digital flyaway rigs consisting of audio and video routing, distribution, communication, CCU and monitor gallery rigs; logistic expertise - the movement of equipment and crew, including planning for back to back events; the provision of core crew at every venue with full technical back up and support; the organisation of infrastructure including porta-cabins to house equipment, office modules, power requirements, catering facilities.
Project Management
Gearhouse Broadcast offers a total project management solution. Acting as consultants from initial project planning right through to live broadcast delivery the team can provide a fully integrated project management service. Our flyaway systems and technical infrastructure is available to either integrate into existing installations or providing stand-alone facilities.
Operational Management
GMG has an exceptional pedigree in the delivery of outside broadcast solutions to major, multi-site live and near live sporting events. From Technical Directors and Project Engineers to Production Managers and Production Assistants GMG intrinsically understands what is required to ensure each broadcast's smooth running.
GMG creates dedicated onsite teams who manage the operation with the additional administrative support from our office based Projects Solutions division.
Personnel & Crewing
People are at the heart of every production and thanks to a global database that we have built up over the last sixteen years working on major sporting events we have had the good fortune to work with some of the best crew from all around the world. Our personnel are established with experienced, knowledgeable, specialist engineers, crew and long term freelancers. We will source and match crew members for the production ranging from Production Managers, Senior Engineers, VT Operators, Cameramen, Vision Mixers, Vision Engineers, A1 and A2 Audio Engineers, Riggers and Runners.
Crewing can be extremely demanding we have the personnel with extensive experience of managing freelancers and the project pedigree competently to manage these demands.
Production facilities
Once we have allocated the best crew members to your event our production team can organise all elements of an on location broadcast from onsite facilities, crew flights and accommodation to crew expenses throughout the duration of the broadcast or event being held.
Onsite infrastructure if required is not a problem no matter where the project is located, we can organise porta-cabins, porta-loo's, electricity, lighting, furniture, office equipment and catering facilities. Our team liaise with venues and local suppliers leaving you free to concentrate on the creative aspect of your production.
Logistics
We have a dedicated logistics team with knowledgeable personnel who are highly experienced in managing the logistics for flyaway solutions programming. For each event the logistics team will plan and organise the movement and routing of equipment to and from site (s) and most pertinently they will ensure it gets there on time. We have a strong relationship with industry freight handlers giving us access to favourable shipping rates and the flexibility to turn around projects within tight deadlines. All equipment is packaged in custom-made flight cases, designed for maximum protection and shipping convenience. Over the years our team has acquired an invaluable knowledge of customs practices and regulations ensuring the swift transportation of equipment anywhere in the world. A state of the art inventory management system is networked across all divisions and all offices. At a glance our equipment and resource availability is apparent, leading to quicker response times for our Clients.
In-house workshop
We have a huge technical back up facility which provides a 24/7 service for broadcast equipment rental. Our vast dry hire inventory is held at our Watford headquarters alongside a large workshop which is fully staffed with experienced broadcast technicians and provides routine maintenance and repairs to any faulty equipment.
Due to the significant size of our broadcast rental inventory identical kit is available to be used at multi-site locations maintaining the consistency across a production.
