The Bel 2120B is an SDI based audio shuffler designed to allow any 4 audio signals to be selected, modified and then routed, or mixed, to any 4 outputs. I/O connectivity comprises analogue, AES or SDI (any group).

The unit can be controlled from the front panel or remotely via RS 422. Auto/Manual ‘bypass’ is provided as well as a panel lock function. An optional remote, 2120B Controller, allows full control over all facilities.

Two main modes of operation are possible:

Matrix Mode: Each selected input can have its level adjusted or inverted. Level adjustments can be made in 1dB steps between -30dB and +10dB, in addition to being set to Off. Inputs can then be routed to any output.

Mix Mode: Each input can again be inverted and its level adjusted, but any combination of inputs can be mixed to any output.

In both modes, all parameters may be stored in user-defined memories.

The simultaneous output of audio in all formats enables the Bel 2120B to be used as an SDI, AES/ EBU and analogue audio Shuffler, in addition to being able to perform comprehensive embedding and de- embedding operations to and from the SDI stream. Simultaneous conversion between all three audio formats is available.
