ATP MASTES SERIES 2008 HITS OFF TODAY ATP MASTES SERIES 2008 HITS OFF TODAY

The ATP Masters Series commences today with the first event in the series, The Pacific Life Open, held at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, California, 10 March – 23 March.

International broadcast solutions provider Gearhouse Broadcast will provide client ATP Media with a comprehensive package of Technical, Crewing and Technical Facilities for the entire series to be delivered consistently across each event.

Kevin Moorhouse, Technical Director for Gearhouse Broadcast describes the set up, “The Series will be fully high definition capable for the first time. The flyaway systems have been built to ensure additional facilities can be created with relative ease and cost effectively.  We will provide a productive tapeless solution reducing the use of tapes massively, the non-linear setup means that everyone will have access to the material whilst it is still recording and thus dramatically improving workflows.”

New to the broadcast is the fibre ring audio system which reduces the cable used, the redundant path, improving the technical quality.  It can distribute signals easily to other broadcasters using a computerised system.  Moorhouse concludes “we have delivered broadcast facilities for the Series for the past eight years and have an in depth understanding of the product and production requirements".
