Overview
Broadcast Solutions Company Gearhouse Broadcast provided SIS LIVE, Europe’s largest OB and uplink provider, with both SD and HD broadcast equipment packages to assist with BBC Sports coverage of the RBS Six Nations Championships in 2009.
Solution
Gearhouse Broadcast’s Rental division supplyed SIS LIVE with a standard definition package of 2 Thomson LDK 23 Slo-Mo Camera Channels, 2 XJ-86 Canon lenses, 2 Vinten Vector 70 Heads, 5 SD EVS machines, 1 XHub2, 1 XFile2. The high definition package supplied included 4 Sony HDC-3300 Slo-Mo Camera Channels, 4 HD EVS, 4 XJ-86 Canon lenses, 4 Vinten Vector 70 Heads, 1 EVS XHub2, 1 EVS XFile2
Outcome
The series, considered to be the premier international rugby union tournament in the Northen hemisphere, began on 7th February 2009 and concluded Saturday 21st March.
