Situated in the Downtown Mseireb Complex, Musherib Auditorium was specially built for use by the Prime Minister of Qatar to hold conferences and events.
When Sarteur Interior Design decoration approached AV Tech to install an audio visual infrastructure within the new auditorium, it also decided that the latest broadcast infrastructure should also be integrated due to the nature of the events set to take place there. Gearhouse Broadcast Qatar was contracted to install these facilities, a project managed entirely from its office in Doha.
To provide broadcast facilities across the auditorium, Gearhouse installed five camera input wall boxes, a patch rack and 2015m of cable in just two weeks. Each wall box has triax, SMPTE Hybrid fibre, audio and HD Coaxial connections.
With this infrastructure now in place production crews are able to quickly and easily rig the venue for live broadcasts. This is one of a number of facility installations led by Gearhouse in the region which shows Qatar’s growing request for state-of-the-art broadcast infrastructures.
