With a special adaptor LA-100W, it is possible to use the aLens series designed for Sony Digital SLR still cameras. The difference in sensor size between the HVR-Z7 and HVR-S270 and D-SLR camera means that the effective focal length of still camera lenses is multiplied by 7x. This feature can be used for a wildlife video shooting. Or the shallow depth of field created by the still lens is ideal for filmmaking on a budget.
